Domain Property Estimates

Finance Frank integrates with Domain (Australia's leading property platform) to provide automated property valuations. When you add a property address, Frank fetches an estimate and keeps it updated.

How It Works

  1. Go to Assets and add or edit a Property asset
  2. Start typing the property address — suggestions appear from Domain's database
  3. Select the correct address
  4. Frank automatically fetches:
    • Estimated value — Domain's automated valuation model (AVM)
    • Confidence level — high, medium, or low
    • Suburb median — the median sale price for the suburb
    • Suburb growth — year-on-year growth percentage
  5. The estimated value is auto-filled as the current value (you can override it)

Automatic Updates

Property estimates are refreshed automatically via a daily scheduler job. You don't need to manually update — Frank keeps your property values current.

What You See

On the asset card, you'll see:

  • Domain Est. with the estimated value in green
  • A confidence badge (high = green, medium = yellow, low = grey)
  • Capital gain/loss calculated from your purchase price vs the estimate

Tips

  • Domain estimates work best for standard residential properties in metro areas
  • Rural or unique properties may show lower confidence or no estimate
  • You can always override the current value manually if you have a better source (e.g., a recent appraisal)
