What early-warning signals are

Frank keeps an eye on patterns in your own data and flags things worth a closer look before they become a problem. The point is to surface a signal early — Frank tells you what it noticed and why; you decide what, if anything, to do about it.

These are observations about your data, not advice or instructions.

What Frank watches for

Frank can flag signs such as:

• Low cash runway — your available cash would cover only a short period at your current spending rate.
• Spending exceeding income — your outgoings have been running ahead of what's coming in.
• High leverage — your debt is large relative to your assets or income.
• A sharp income drop — your income has fallen noticeably compared with your recent pattern.
• An unusual spending spike — spending in a period is well above your normal range.

How a flag appears

When Frank spots one of these signals, it surfaces a short, plain-English note explaining what it saw — for example, the metric that moved and the period it covers. Each flag is grounded in your actual figures so you can check it yourself.

You can also ask Frank directly, e.g. "Is anything in my finances worth worrying about right now?" and Frank will summarise any current signals.

What to do with a flag

A flag is a prompt to look, not a verdict. From there you might:

• review the transactions or accounts behind the signal;
• adjust a budget or plan if it reflects a real change;
• dismiss it if it's expected (for example, a one-off large purchase you already knew about).
